Point Samson Fishing

Point Samson is the base for a commercial fishing fleet, but also has numerous fishing spots for recreational fishing.

At the Johns Creek Boat Harbour, recreational fishers can use the boat ramp, and the rock groynes at the harbour offer some good land based fishing. Honeymoon Cove, just along from John’s Creek Harbour is another popular spot. Facilities at John’s Creek Harbour include a car park and public toilet.

You’ll also find anglers at the small Sam’s Creek inlet, just off Sam’s Creek Road, and on the causeway along the Roebourne/Point Samson Road. Point Samson Reef area is a popular offshore fishing spot, however visitors are asked to take note of the reef-protection zone, which extends from the north point of Sam’s Creek to the old Point Samson Jetty.
