When water is flowing at Doolena Gorge it's an excellent place for a shady picnic and a swim, and it's always a good place to watch the sunset.
This gorge on the De Grey River also has a seasonal waterfall up the gully along the track that runs alongside the gorge.
Doolena Gorge is approximately 41 kilometres north of Marble Bar on the Marble Bar-Port Hedland Road. The access road is on your left just after you cross the Coongan River. The road is suitable for 4WD vehicles.
