Cable Beach Caravan Parks

Located within walking distance of the beach and close to eateries and bars including the new Spinifex Brewery on Sanctuary Road, there are a number of great caravan parks to choose from in the Cable Beach area.

Cable Beach Caravan Park

Just 850m from the beach on Millington Road you’ll find Cable Beach Caravan Park, which has been welcoming visitors to Broome since 1965! Time hasn’t stood still here however, as you’ll find all the modern amenities you’ll need for your stay.

A true gem in the park is Millie’s Cafe, where you’ll find both locals and visitors enjoying breakfast and lunch, as well as in house baked treats. The 30m shaded lagoon style pool will also be calling your name!

Choose between powered and unpowered sites in this large park – during peak season, you’ll definitely need to book your powered site in advance, and minimum stays will apply. Cable Beach Caravan Park is a no pets park.

RAC Cable Beach Holiday Park

On Murray Road you’ll find RAC Cable Beach Holiday Park, which offers 2 bedroom and studio cabins, as well as powered and unpowered sites. If you’re travelling with furry friends, be sure to book one of the pet-friendly powered sites – just add your pet to the guest drop down when you place your booking online!

On site, you’ll find a 19m saltwater swimming pool surrounded by lush tropical gardens, and next door a convenient general store and cafe. Best of all, it’s just a 750m walk to the Surf Club area of the beach where you can hire a sun lounger and umbrella to make the most of your beach time!

If you’re an RAC member, book at RAC Cable Beach Holiday Park to enjoy benefits such as accommodation discounts, early access to book key travel dates like school holidays, and more.

Tarangau Caravan Park

Known as ‘the quiet alternative’ Tarangau Caravan Park is located at 16 Millington Road, Cable Beach. Talk to the friendly reception team to organise a suitable site – powered or unpowered, pet-friendly, motorhome and 5th wheeler friendly sites are all available, and you can pull up in the shade of the many trees dotted around the park.

The amenities block has been refurbished to an exceptionally high standard, with excellent laundry facilities too.

Within walking distance (or a very short drive!) to Cable Beach, you can choose to spend your time relaxing on the beach, or get out and about on tour, with bookings available through reception as well as tour pick-ups at Tarangau Caravan Park.

Town Beach Caravan Parks

The Town Beach area of Broome is popular with both locals and visitors as a spot for swimming, fishing, Staircase to the Moon, markets and food vans.

Discovery Parks – Broome

Discovery Parks – Broome is the only caravan park in Broome with water views, looking out across Town Beach to Roebuck Bay. After undergoing a recent refurbishment the park now offers a mix of powered and unpowered sites, as well as waterfront sites and cabins – studios or 2-bedrooms, some with ocean views.

The park’s sparkling new swimming pool is bound to lure you in for a relaxing afternoon, and with beach access on your doorstep as well as a boat ramp, and stunning views of Staircase to the Moon you won’t be short of things to do!

Discovery Parks – Broome is also dog-friendly, so your pooch doesn’t have to miss out!

Dampier Peninsula Caravan Parks

North of Broome you’ll find some great camping options for your Dampier Peninsula adventure.

Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm

Driving into Cygnet Bay, you’ll have a choice of 4WD or 2WD accessible campsites. Pearler’s Village is located close to the restaurant and pool area, and is 2WD accessible. Campsites have bush views and shared facilities, and while the sites are unpowered, they’re close to all the action.

At Diver’s Creek approximately 1km from reception, you’ll find a small number of 4WD accessible sites with power, water and shared facilities. Some sites are suitable for camper trailers and caravans, while others suit tents and rooftop campers. It’s just a short walk or drive back to the reception, restaurant and swimming pool area.

While at Cygnet Bay you’ll be able to immerse yourself into the story of the Australian pearl on a range of tours, explore the local waters on a boat cruise or join a cultural tour with Terry Hunter’s Borrgoron Coast to Creek tours.

Djarindjin Campground

Large sites (including drive through sites) and modern facilities make Djarindjin Campground a welcoming stopover point or base for your Dampier Peninsula trip. The campground is fully 2WD accessible, and includes sites suitable for large RV’s and caravans. Situated next door to the Djarindjin Roadhouse, you can pick up a coffee or ice-cream, stock up on small grocery supplies or treat yourself to a takeaway. Djarindjin Campground is also a hub for some of the peninsula’s famous cultural tours, with Brian Lee’s Hunters Creek Tagalong Tours, Bundy’s Cultural Tours and Trevor’s Traditional Tours all departing from here.

Lombadina Campground

The newest campground on our list, Lombadina Campground is part of the Camping with Custodians initiative, and just opened in April 2024. You’ll find 27 campsites (15 powered and 12 unpowered), alongside new bathroom facilities with hot showers, a laundry, camp kitchen and a sheltered barbecue area.

Lombadina Campground is located at the entrance to Lombadina community, with access to a beautiful stretch of white sandy beach and tours of community’s historic bush timber church, fishing tours and more.
